Stara Lubovna Castle

Stara Lubovna Castle found in the northeastern parts of Slovakia is an age old castle that converted the village of Stara Lubovna into an important destination. The gothic palace and the tower happen to be the oldest parts pertaining to this castle, and when the castle got burnt down during 1553, it was reconstructed in the Renaissance style. Subsequently, a baroque palace was built in 1642, which then was followed by the erection of a chapel in 1647.  The open air museum found below Stara Lubovna Castle is place to find works of folk architecture belonging to the regions of Saris and Spis. The castle also unveils a museum is open for the public to explore.

In the southern sectors of the city, the Greek-Catholic Church pertaining to the Mother of Eternal Help is another significant landmark at Stara Lubovna. The summer time happens to be the period when folk music bands exhibitions get conducted here at the natural amphitheatre found at the open-air museum.
