St. Emmeram Cathedral, Nitra

There is also another reliquary that can be spotted at the St. Emmeram's Cathedral, and this reliquary unveils some relics related to saint Cyril. The lower church pertaining to this cathedral was built during the period that extended between 1621 and 1642. At a later stage, the entire cathedral complex had been remodeled along the lines of Baroque style. This cathedral is dedicated to Saint Emmeram of Regensburg, as this itinerant bishop was involved in missionary work, and it had been rendered from that of the court belonging to Theodo I, the duke of Bavaria.

The Nitra Castle that enjoys a dominant presence in Nitra and which houses this cathedral is a natural cultural monument.
