Presov Region

As one among the eight administrative regions of Slovakia, Prešov Region consists of 13 districts, as it is situated in the north-eastern sections of Slovakia. Though the Prešov Region is known to encompass diverse types pertaining to landscapes, hilly lands and highlands dominate the Prešov Region. This physically spectacular region shares a close proximity with that of Poland and Ukraine, as it also boasts of five national parks found in this region.

The major rivers spotted at the Prešov Region include the Poprad found in the west, as parts of Dunajec, Torysa and Honrad passes through this region. The major attractions unveiled by the Prešov Region encompasses the national park pertaining to Vysoke Tatry found in the High Tatras, the Pieniny, which is also a national park and Bardejov, which carries the stamp of UNESCO World Heritage. Visitors also can come across various other options at the Prešov Region, as the Poloniny, another national park, is yet another attractive feature found in this region.

Prešov Region also offers other opportunities to the visitors that come in the form of Belianska Cave, Star’a L’ubovna Castle, the cathedral of Spisska Kapitula, the Bardejov spa and the ski resort of Tatranska Lomnica. The Prešov Region also provides an opportunity to visit the aqua park of Aquacity Poprad.
