Poprad

Situated on the banks of the Poprad River, this city happens to be the gateway to explore the High Tatras. This town centre also has a museum and art galleries that serve as attractions here, and the historical buildings at Poprad reflect the German and the Polish influences on this region. There is also a thirteenth century church that unveils traces related to the interior wall paintings that belongs the Middle Ages.

To the north of Poprad is the High Tatras National Park, which attracts most of the visitors who pay a visit to Poprad. The park provides access to that of small alpine mountains as it also paves way for some lively skiing through the ski centers during the winter time. Poprad also happens to be the starting point pertaining to the Tatra Electric Railway that connects the resort present in the High Tatras with that of Poprad.
